The title Reducing anxiety to avoid exclusion and violence belongs to the Intercultural Cities Working Group Presentation during the Plenary of the Education & Culture Committee on 29th October 2019. These documents are also associated with a possible Religions Subgroup of the Gender Perspectives in Political Processes GPPP working group of the Democracy, Social Cohesion and Global Challenges Committee.

En Amérique latine, aux États-Unis et en Europe, nous assistons à la progression d'organisations et de partis politiques d'extrême droite, qui forment un réseau parfaitement structuré et coordonné à l'échelle mondiale, organiquement lié à des groupes religieux fondamentalistes, en particulier des évangéliques, pour constituer ce que Nazaret Castro appelle « l'Internationale néofasciste » et que je qualifie d '« Internationale chrétienne néofasciste ». Cela se produit dans les différentes religions et églises, y compris l'Église catholique, pendant le pontificat réformateur du pape François, qui a ses adversaires au sein de la Curie romaine et dans un secteur important de l'épiscopat mondial.
L'un des exemples les plus emblématiques de cette Internationale en Espagne est la complicité et l'harmonie totale avec HazteOír (Faites-vous entendre), l'organisation catholique espagnole de l'idéologie ultraconservatrice, et VOX, le parti politique espagnol, que l'Osservatore Romano - l'organe officiel du Vatican - qualifie de « formation politique d'extrême droite » tandis que le cardinal espagnol Antonio Cañizares la définit comme de droite et totalement constitutionnelle. HazteOír s’est servi de sa plate-forme pour promouvoir et vulgariser Vox dans les médias à ses débuts en tant que parti politique et a décerné des prix à Santiago Abascal et à d'autres dirigeants du même parti. Parallèlement, Vox a fait entrer des membres affiliés à HazteOír dans les parlements autonomes espagnols, les municipalités et le Congrès des députés (le Parlement espagnol).

"En América Latina, Estados Unidos y Europa estamos asistiendo a una avance de las organizaciones y partidos políticos de extrema derecha, que conforman un entramado perfectamente estructurado y coordinado a nivel global y están en conexión orgánica con grupos fundamentalistas religiosos, preferentemente evangélicos, hasta conformar lo que Nazaret Castro llama “la Internacional neofascista” y yo califico de “Internacional Cristo-neofascista”. Esto sucede en las diferentes religiones e iglesias, incluida la Iglesia Católica, durante el pontificado reformador del papa Francisco, que tiene a sus adversarios dentro de la Curia Romana y en un importante sector del episcopado mundial.
Uno de los ejemplos más emblemáticos de esta Internacional en España es la complicidad y total sintonía entre HazteOír, organización católica española de ideología ultraconservadora, y VOX, a quien L’ Osservatore Romano –órgano oficial del Vaticano- califica de “formación política de extrema derecha” mientras que el cardenal español Antonio Cañizares la define como de derechas y totalmente constitucional. HazteOír sirvió de plataforma para visibilizar y aupar mediáticamente a Vox en sus comienzos como partido político y ha concedido premios a Santiago Abascal y a otros líderes del mismo partido. En legítima correspondencia, Vox ha incorporado a miembros vinculados a HazteOír en los Parlamentos Autonómicos, los Ayuntamientos y el Congreso de los Diputados.

The John XXIII Association of Female and Male Theologians is a member group of Redes Cristianas, itself a member group of EN-RE. The Association has organized the annual Madrid Theology Congress every year since 1988
"In Latin America, the United States and Europe we are witnessing the advance of extreme right wing organizations and political parties, that form a perfectly structured and globally coordinated network, organically connected with religious fundamentalist groups, especially evangelicals, to constitute what Nazaret Castro calles "the Neofascist International" and which I qualify as the "Christian Neofascist International". This occurs in the different religions and churches, including the Catholic Church, during the reforming pontificate of Pope Francis, who has his adversaries within the Roman Curia and in an important sector of the worldwide episcopate.
One of the most emblematic examples of this International in Spain is the complicity and total harmony between HazteOír (Make yourself heard), the Spanish catholic organization of ultraconservative ideology, and VOX, the Spanish political party, that the Osservatore Romano - the official organ of the Vatican - qualifies as "an extreme right wing political formation" whilst Spanish cardinal Antonio Cañizares defines it as right wing and totally constitutional. HazteOír served as a platform to promote and popularise Vox in the media in its beginnings as a political party and has awarded prizes to Santiago Abascal and other leaders of the same party. Correspondingly, Vox has incorporated members affiliated to HazteOír in Spanish Autonomous Parliaments, Municipalities and the Congress of Deputies (the Spanish Parliament).

Nous logeons chez les Oblats de Marie Immaculée. A première vue un bâtiment de type années soixante-dix, mais mal en point. Ils comptent d'ailleurs construire quelque chose de nouveau dans leur cour et démolir ce bâtiment. Ma semaine sur place me confirme que c'est la meilleure chose à faire. Le bâtiment est occupé par des Oblats octogénaires et n'est plus bien entretenu. Certains Oblats parlent anglais et l'un d'entre eux ressemble beaucoup au pape actuel. Il le sait et nous en rions régulièrement : pas besoin de nous agenouiller devant lui ! Les pères vivent très simplement, leurs chambres sont celles de célibataires très austères. Certains d'entre eux ont encore une activité bénévole dans la ville, alors que l'état de santé d'autres est très précaire. Il y a aussi là quelques prêtres africains qui étudient la théologie à Strasbourg. Hugo Castelli et moi, dormons dans des chambres tout en haut du bâtiment. Nous avons un étage entier pour nous. Hugo est le co-représentant espagnol de l'ONG pour laquelle nous sommes là : le Réseau Européen Eglises et Libertés, EN-RE, un réseau catholique critique dont l'Association Mariënburg est membre depuis de nombreuses années, et qui a obtenu le statut d'ONG associée au Conseil de l'Europe. Logent également là des membres d'Andante, une organisation faîtière de mouvements catholiques féminins européens. Elles viennent des Pays-Bas, d'Allemagne et d'Angleterre. J'interviewerai plus tard l'une d'elles pour le magazine de Mariënburg. Elles suivent encore de près les résultats du Synode de l'Amazonie qui, pour les Néerlandais, a plus ou moins perdu tout intérêt : tout cela a pris trop de temps et nous ne croyons plus en la possibilité de réels changements. L'intérêt demeure par contre pour les nombreuses questions de société que traite la Conférence des OING*. Etc'est pour cela que nous sommes à Strasbourg, et que le RE-EN a été fondé : un réseau catholique qui se concentre sur les questions de société.
